Ma gave me my first driving lesson on Sunday. That went pretty good. Keep in mind the list below is a huge deal to me because I have a few retarded qualities.

Things learned

- I have to turn the wheel exorcist-style to get the vehicle to actually TURN, which I figured out before I ran into the building in front of me
- ** I am capable of turning the wheel without my arms killing me **
- I am capable of not freaking out when behind the wheel! Though music may be a bad idea while I'm driving (too distracting)
- ** I am capable of adjusting the parking brake **
- I am capable of DRIVING

My plan now is to get the handbook, take the test, get my permit... and eventually get my license! It could happen. I actually think it could happen! I fear the driving test though...

I took the sample knowledge test online and got 8 of 10 questions right. I'd actually have gotten 9 out of 10 right if I'd gone with my first thought on one of the two I missed. The one I didn't know at all was one about the center turn lane(it told me what it's for after I answered though, so now I know!). I feel pretty optimistic.

Mmhmm, I'm very excited about this! :D

speaking of art stuff, all the submissions for the secret santa exchange were posted around midnight, some of them are late though, including the one from whoever did mine, I think...but yeah, you can now check 'em all out, including the one I drew! (mine: "For UponThouFairCat")...

mm, so as I mentioned before, we're gonna be alone most of today, but my mom is going to be working hard most of the morning and afternoon fixing things for dinner tonight. my sister Kim and co. arrive back from visiting Lori in Vegas by this evening, so I look forward to Christmas dinner with 'em here at the house!

as for yesterday, I woke up to my mom already being gone at work, but there was a vase with a pink carnation in it sitting on the table next to my computer. it's amazing how a seemingly small gesture can make an entire day. :)

oh, and I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seats when you read this: AN UPDATE ON THE STARBUCKS GUY I MENTIONED IN A PREVIOUS ENTRY!

ok, so, went into Starbucks on sunday, one of the girls working was happy to see me, I hadn't seen her in a while, and she was doing everything on her own, so I figured she was all alone for that shift...BUT then someone came out from the back room, and what do you know, it was the guy! (his name is Josh) he was really sweet and made a comment about how it'd been a long time since he'd seen me, then wished me a merry Christmas and said my order would be right up, but he didn't actually charge me, so I was confused and he smiled at me again and said "merry Christmas ;)" haha, so he wouldn't let me pay! that was sweet. free Christmas coffee is the best.

yepyep, all is right with the world.
